Much more research needs to be done before you can say that chiropractic adjustments are safe.

improper cracking of your neck and spine can be bad, its best to let the chiropractor do that. Popping your knuckles wont hurt anything, it doesnt cause arthritis. If you do it alot they can become inflamed but if you stop for a few days it will go away.

Thats true, we do not have the residency programs that medical schools require. We have 1 year of hands on clinical experience with real patients with real problems overseen by clinicians.
However, if you compare the curriculums side by side you will see that we take a majority of the same classes during the 1st 4 years.. We have the competency to properly diagnose diseases otherwise we would be sued for failure to diagnose on a daily basis. My malpractice insurance is ~2000/year, whats yours?

But the claim that you cover many of the same courses as a medical student is a gross exaggeration. The differences in expertise are greater than just pharmacology. Also, chiropractors are not required to complete an additional 4 year residency program.
So medical students go through at least 8 years of school while chiropractors only go through a quick 4.
