She was put on morphine in the hospital and now at home she is on hydroco/apap7.5-325mtab cyclobenzapr 5 mg . She hasn’t had a movement since Wed. 12th 2011. She was in a car accident and hurt her back and neck in back brace when up and neck brace 24/7.

I had a herniated disk at L4-5 last summer, and surgery in Feb. I’ve been making slow steady improvement, but the last month the pain has gotten so bad again that it wakes me up during the night. It hurts so much that I can barely turn over or get up. Is this typical for others with the same condition? I was told I also have a bulging disc at L3-4 and a smaller one at L5-S1. Unless I get sciatica again, I’m to assume that these discs have not herniated.
For the person who responded with Decompression, can you tell me the difference?
Do I maybe require surgery at this point? I have a 6-pack ab now, very little belly fat; yet; that doesn’t seem to be enough to take the load off my S1 disc. Plus, I go on a 45-minute walk every night to help keep my back nice and strong. Will the sciatica ever go away?
i had discectomy about 9 months ago. surgeon said he got all the disc material out yet im still having pretty painful sciatica. Am i just out of luck and doomed to be in pain for the rest of my life?

I’m in my late teens and just had L4 L5 Disc Decompression surgery. Before the surgery i would be slouched over when i walked with terrible pain and bad sciatica. I had the surgery and now i am able to stand up perfectly straight but i still have the sciatica. The doc said that is normal and it takes time for the sciatic nerve root to repair itself. How long has it taken for any of you? Did the pain ever go away?
That is my only concern, i am pain free in my back but it is just the sciatica in my upperthigh and going down my left leg.

At the doctor yesterday they gave me two vaccines. One was a tetanus booster, and the other was a new one out for meningitis. I was told that my arm would hurt and I’d have a low fever, but there’s also this dull pain in my lower back. Is this a normal effect? I think it’s starting to go away along with the arm pain.
