Lower Back Pain Exercises – What You Need To Know

Experiencing lower back pain can really be very irritating and can affect your everyday life. Imagine having to go to work with a persistent pain in your back. You cannot perform well because of the pain, and you exert much effort to not concentrate on the pain you are feeling. At one point of our lives, everybody can possibly experience lower back pains. Because of that, there are many available back pain reliefs and treatments that one can do to help ease their pains.

A person experiencing pains in the lower part of the back can do various remedies; medications, therapies and even lower back pain exercises. All these are very helpful to alleviate the pain. One in particular, the exercise, along with helping ease pain, can also be a great way to maintain a healthy mind and body.

There are various kinds of lower back pain exercises that a person can do. These exercises can vary from simple ones, to more intensive and a little complicated series of exercises. Here are some good examples of these exercises that are good to lessen the lower back pain:

• Walking – may be one of the simplest and yet effective form of exercise against back pains. Walking makes the body relax and stretch out the tensed muscles that causes the body pains.
• Swimming – swimming is also a very good way to alleviate lower back pains. It releases muscular tension in the body.
• Aerobics – aerobics is a form of a dance exercise that makes use of almost every part of the body. By doing aerobics daily, not only will you lose excess body fats, you also get to release the tension that is building up in your body.
• Back stretching exercises – this can be done daily and is specially recommended for those persons experiencing cases of sciatica. There are a wide array of back stretching exercises that a person can do and here are some of the examples:
1. Wall back stretch
2. Hip flexor stretch
3. Knee to chest stretching
4. Basic spinal twist
5. Shoulder, back, arms stretch
• Back strengthening exercises – some causes of the lower back pain is due to the inability or weakness of the spinal column and the back to support the weight of the upper part of the body. A very good example of this is during pregnancy, when there is too much weight on the abdomen of the woman that results to back pain. And with that, a person needs to strengthen his/her back to carry out the weight. Examples of back strengthening exercises are as follows:

1. The bridge
2. The side plank
3. The wall squat
4. Basic crunches
5. Leg and arm raises

By doing the above mentioned lower back pain exercises, one can definitely feel the lessening of their lower back pains. With proper exercises daily, along with sufficient amount of rest and eating the right kinds of food, will guarantee a person with lower back pain a lesser and more bearable pain in their lives.
